How to test OCPP compliance with OCTT | Video demo of OCPP 1.6 Simulator

Open Charge Alliance (OCA) has developed an OCPP Compliance Testing Tool (a.k.a OCPP 1.6 Simulator). This tool can be used to self-test the implementations of OCPP version 1.6 . The tool supports both SOAP and JSON and can be used to test a Central system back end (CSMS) and Charging Station /Charge Points.

Functions of OCPP 1.6 compliancy testing tool:

The tool covers all the basic OCPP1.6 Core Profile functions and other OCPP functionalities such as:  • Reservation • Local Authorization List • Remote Trigger • Smart Charging • Authorization Cache • Data Transfer • Diagnostics  • Firmware Management • Security.

All the above mentioned test cases can be tested with happy as well as non-happy flows with the OCPP 1.6 simulator. It can be used to automate testing using continuous Integration functionality that is included in the tool. The OCPP Compliance Testing Tool development has been funded by OCA and its members. The tool has been validated against different 1.6 implementations in the field.
