Germany's Incentives for Electric Vehicles & Chargers | Updated post-corona stimulation package

The existing tax incentive scheme – often referred as environmental bonus (Umweltbonus genannt) was supposed to end by 31-12-2020. However now, the Germany federal government gets even more serious about making the switch to electric mobility. The government has announced a €130 billion post-corona stimulation package, with a large portion to be spent on funding electric infrastructure and boosting EV incentives. 

This new package comes shortly after the German government released a Climate plan for 2030 at the end of last year, which already contemplated boosting their EVs and charging stations into the millions by the end of the decade.
